Quiet Riot Singer Found Dead in His Vegas Home

DubrowLas Vegas Metro Police have confirmed to TMZ that 52-year-old Kevin Dubrow, lead singer for 80's metal band Quiet Riot, was found dead in his Las Vegas home.

We're told one of Dubrow's neighbors found the singer Sunday around 5:20 PM. The Clark County Coroner confirms to TMZ that they are currently examining Dubrow's body to try to determine the cause of death.

Fellow band member Frankie Banali posted this message on his website: "I can't even find words to say. Please respect my privacy as I mourn the passing and honor the memory of my dearest friend, Kevin DuBrow."

Quiet Riot was the first metal band to top the Billboard charts and are perhaps best known for their cover of "Cum on Feel the Noize"

62. To Posters #8 and #14 - YOU ARE IDIOTS!!!! It is SAD whe ANYONE dies!!

And you folks decrying rap/ R&B - You must remember, when ROCK first came out - PEOPLE COMPLAINED that it was BAD Music TOO!

I personally like a bit of everything - Classic Rock, R&B, a little rap (mainly the classics - new stuff is too much), Classical music, etc :-) But I am not going to slam anyone for their choice in music.....

64. The sad thing is, rock stars usually don't retire into the sunset. Look at Joe Strummer, died at 50. Same thing with the Ramones, they all died before they saw their mid 50s. Being a working musician like these guys are really ages your body faster than if you were just some 9-5 type since you are on the road all the time, not sleeping enough, not eating right, and too many bad habits are there tempting you every night.

However, some people want that lifestyle, and they know the risks associated so while it's sad he died early, part of me knows he lived more in his 52 years than most people do in 5 lifetimes.

They lived their dream, they made us happy with their music, but it's a powerful price to pay too early.

68. I met Kevin backstage at one of his shows and found him to be extremely knowledgeable about all forms of music, not just heavy metal. He was inspiring to talk to and was a down to earth nice guy. Very sad to hear this news.

Websites like this just give every loser/hater a megaphone to show the world how jealous and bitter they are that they will never accomplish anything worth noting when they die.

72. Metal Health is one of the few great classic rock albums of the 80's, Dubrow was a great frontman in his own right & his legacy is secure with that band & album.

74. Like them or not...they knocked down a lot of doors for metal. Unfortunately like most pioneers...they never got the recognition or money they deserved.

Thanks for the metal...thanks for the memories.

RIP brother...
