Quiet Riot Singer Found Dead in His Vegas Home

DubrowLas Vegas Metro Police have confirmed to TMZ that 52-year-old Kevin Dubrow, lead singer for 80's metal band Quiet Riot, was found dead in his Las Vegas home.

We're told one of Dubrow's neighbors found the singer Sunday around 5:20 PM. The Clark County Coroner confirms to TMZ that they are currently examining Dubrow's body to try to determine the cause of death.

Fellow band member Frankie Banali posted this message on his website: "I can't even find words to say. Please respect my privacy as I mourn the passing and honor the memory of my dearest friend, Kevin DuBrow."

Quiet Riot was the first metal band to top the Billboard charts and are perhaps best known for their cover of "Cum on Feel the Noize"

NOW, for Britney's Dad...WOW !!!
Let us know when Britney dies at a very young age so that we can laugh our asses off. You ignorant MF.

219. #213 please read #182. Except for the part which addresses the lowlife's on this site, which you are not, it was written for you. Hey Kevin, sorry I can't be at your funeral today. Please know I'm there in spirit. The next time I'm in town, I'll lay two flowers...one at your grave, and the other at the garage where Quiet Riot was born. I'm thinking you'd like that. Rest in peace............

220. I think I was 24 when “Metal Health” came out, and the title tune was one I couldn’t stand and, at the same time, couldn’t get out of my head. I had no use for this genre of music after seeing (what I considered to be) the great bands of the seventies, but they were about rockin’, anyway.

It’s two weeks after he died and I just found out tonight while looking for something else. From what I’ve read so far it doesn’t sound like Kevin was much of a partier. I saw a special on Michael Hutchence and INXS once and didn’t think he was that far off the beam, either. Mick Jagger once said, "Seventies rockers are built to last.” Apparently not so for eighties rockers.

221. I just read that the Vegas police said that Kevin had been dead for at least six days when he was found. WTF! Why didn't anyone check on him sooner??? Rest in Peace Kevin

222. To all the bad comments all I can say is karma is a Mother@!#$&%. You all have no respect. Quiet Riot launched Heavy Metal on MTV, PERIOD!
As for Kevin's Death. Even with the turmoil between him and Rudy Sarzo, Rudy still has enough respect to say he will miss his friend.
He will be missed by many!!

223. Sad to hear. Was never much of a fan, but at the Rocklahoma festival a few months ago in Oklahoma that I went to, he was belting it out just like he did 20 years ago.

Also, a few posts up there was a comment from "Britney's Dad" saying some bad things about Dire Straights and Twisted Sister. I support anyone making comments like this, but just wondering about the huge disparity between those two bands. I hate D/S myself, but just ignore them.

Britney's Dad - (probably the Mom), have you heard the TS songs that are not played on the commercial radio? Under the Blade, Tear it Loose, and such? If so, then peace. If not, check it out.

224. Everyone check out posting #8, the "Britney's Dad" posting.

Unbelievable, Even fans of the Spanish Inquisition, the Black Plague, and scurvy would be shocked.

Man, if someone knows she or it , it might be time for an attitude adjustment.

Hope it was a joke. Good God, someone died who had many friends and followers.

225. all of you people out there posting horrible responses such as "good, its about time, or that band sucked" should end up the same way as him. How could you say such things at this time. I didnt care for the bands music much, i listend to harder stuff, but im sure mr. dubrow was a very nice man and he did a lot of charity work, so lay off him! r.i.p. kevin and god bless your family.
